What a better way to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend than perusing Chicago’s Green City Market, finally reopened for the 2012 season? (Technically it opened May 5, but this weekend marked my first visit.)
As much as I love radishes and purple asparagus (a few of the items currently in season and being offered at Lincoln Park’s Green City this Saturday morning), I made away with a bunch of beautiful mixed flowers.
Wish I could have given them to my mom, but hopefully she can enjoy them from afar. Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!
